Kim Coulthurst

Kim Coulthurst is a fierce advocate for community-centered solutions. She’s a strategic change agent with a 23-year track record assisting private and public sector employees and organizations to achieve impactful outcomes. Kim’s passion is partnering with individuals and teams to help them blossom for the greater good. Supporting adults who strive to serve community with authenticity is her singular mission. Kim has applied her specialized training in Nonprofit and Human Resource Management, Performance Management, Nonviolent Communication, and Participatory Decision-Making to train and coach thousands of people of all ages. She began her career in management and program design with a six-year stint with the City of Oakland where she launched Camp Read-a-Lot and the Team Oakland Youth Employment Program. Kim then spent four years honing her skills as a project management and event-planning consultant. She later trained Oakland Public School teachers and developed a youth-run, micro-enterprise incubator with Alternatives in Action/HOME. For the last 12 years Kim has applied leading-edge behavioral psychology, systems theory, organizational development and other disciplines to equip organizations to build capacity and infrastructure for high-quality client services. She earned a B.A. from Mills College and certificates from California State University East Bay in Advanced Human Resources Management and Nonprofit Management. When she’s not thinking up dynamic growth strategies, Kim can be found mentoring new business owners, catching up with former youth, and serving on the boards of several local grassroots nonprofit organizations.

Amanda Gerrie

Amanda Gerrie

Amanda Gerrie is passionate about coaching people to move into meaningful, family-sustaining and satisfying careers. She has worked in the field of workforce development and career development since 1997 with a full range of job seekers and career changers. Amanda is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator and Life Purpose Coach and has broad expertise serving diverse populations in case management and organization-wide strategic planning and leadership development. She is an experienced manager, service provider, trainer, change agent and consultant to nonprofits, government, K–12 and community colleges. Amanda has dedicated her career to inspiring people to move into non-traditional careers or otherwise inaccessible occupations through: assisting students of color to enter the field of engineering through building a quality high school engineering career academy; leading a peer learning community for teachers of STEM subjects; and building partnerships between economic development, workforce development and community colleges. Amanda’s experience includes running an Eastbay Works One-Stop Career Center. She served as Director of Workforce Development at Larkin Street Youth Services assisting San Francisco’s homeless, runaway and foster youth, as well as a social worker at the San Francisco Human Service Agency CalWORKs program. Amanda Gerrie holds a B.A. in Child Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and a Master’s in Public Administration with an emphasis in organizational change. She maintains a private career coaching practice, coaching people to discover work that truly inspires them and feeds their souls. Amanda also serves on the boards of several nonprofit, grassroots organizations.
